Famous Strawberry Farm at Cameron Highlands

Strawberry Farm at Cameron Highlands

Strawberry farm is one of the must-visit locations when tourists travel to Cameron Highlands. Cameron Highlands is the center of strawberry production in Malaysia. The cold climate makes it suitable for cultivating strawberries all year round throughout the highlands, with most farms concentrated at Tanah Rata, Brinchang, and Kea Farm. When in the season, many of these farms offer strawberry picking by hand to attract visitors.

Since the strawberry farm is very popular, more and more strawberry farm is open. Here are the most famous: Big Red Strawberry, Kok Lim Strawberry, Raaju’s Hill Strawberry, S’Corner Central Market, and Blueberry Earthouse.

Big Red Strawberry Farm, Brinchang

Big Red Strawberry Farm, also known as Taman Agro Tourism, is an agricultural center growing strawberries and organic salad-based vegetables on a steep hill slope overlooking Brinchang town center. Accessible by a backdoor route from Star Regency Hotel (signboards along the main road, the same direction as Cactus Valley), the farm is one of Brinchang’s most popular tourist attractions, featuring a large cafe, product shop, vegetable market, and strawberry picking. Open daily from morning till evening, entrance is free but visitors driving personal vehicles need to beware the steep road incline both when entering and exiting back to Brinchang.

Blueberry Earthouse is a farm at Brinchang growing strawberries, blueberries, and a limited selection of vegetables. Located off the main road at Kea Farm (along with the access route to Sungai Palas Tea Plantation and Mossy Forest), it can be reached from a left junction shortly after passing Butterfly Garden towards Tringkap. While blueberries are a novel attraction at the farm, its most shrinking feature is a large mud house that houses a cafe serving Penang Peranakan cuisine, with striking views of the valley from an adjoining balcony deck. The mud house also has a ‘living’ roof draped with grass and small flowering shrubs. Open daily, strawberry picking is also available for visitors.
