Shipping Sweet Corns to Kuala Lumpur

Good News for all our customers

We have shipping services to the outstation. We can ship our white sweet corn to peninsular Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pulau Penang, Melaka, and Ipoh.  This is an advantage for those who like our sweet corn but are not able to come to Cameron Highlands. So sorry for East Malaysia, we are not able to arrange for delivery due to the long time delivery will affect the freshness of the sweet corn.

After we harvest fresh corn, we pass it to the logistics company. You will receive on the next day after shipping out. We collect orders when the corn is still on the tree. Please contact us to check the harvest date. We will arrange shipping from Monday to Friday, excluding Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays when the logistics company not working.

Delivery to the doorstep is RM20 per box for Klang Valley. This RM20 is just enough for us to pay for the logistics company that delivers to your house. We didn’t earn a single sen delivery fee.

Our sweet corn is different from others, our sweet corn is more soft and juicy. If you rudely or press hard on the corn, it will crack or rot. Sorry to say that we are not able to ship it to your door with Pos Laju, postage, or similar services. Here is the reason why:

  • Poslaju or similar courier company shipping fees count on kg, our sweet corn is heavier than others. If more than 10kg the shipping fees are very expensive.
  • Poslaju or a similar courier company normally takes 3-7 working days. They keep all goods in the car and the temperature is high. If you keep our sweet corn hot for a long period the taste will change. After 3 days keep sweet corn hot, the corn will start rotten.

Steps for ordering sweet corn:

  1. Contact us to make the reservation. Tell us the quantity for each item you would like to order
  2. Make payment  with Bank in cash / Touch N Go (for the credit card or PayPal payment please send us your email)

Send us the bank-in slip via what app 012-3716379, Facebook page, or email cornatcameron@gmail.com

  1. Wait one or two days for us to prepare sweet corn
  2. Wait for the delivery team to ship to your address

The minimum order for shipping outstation is 10 sweet corn, one box can fit around 50 corn depending on the size of the corn.  We will harvest sweet corn from the tree and pack it immediately after receiving the payment.

Our stocks are limited, first come first serve. Contact us to reserve your order.

Spread the love
Sherlin

How to Choose and Store Sweet Corn for Maximum Freshness

Sweet corn is a beloved staple in many kitchens, known for its crisp texture and naturally sweet flavor. To enjoy it at its best, it's important to know how to choose and store it properly. Here are some tips to ensure your sweet corn stays fresh and delicious. Choosing the Perfect Sweet Corn Look for Green Husks: When picking sweet corn, start by checking the husks. They should be green color and tightly wrapped around the cob. If you notice any brown or dried-out husks, it's a sign that the corn isn't fresh. Feel for Firm Kernels: Give the corn a gentle squeeze through the husk. The kernels should feel firm and plump. If they’re mushy or shriveled, put that cob back – it’s past its prime. Check the Silk: The silk (those thread-like strands coming out of the top)  should be slightly sticky to the touch and look fresh. Depending on the variety of sweet corn, the color can range from light to dark, so focus more on its condition rather than the specific color. Check for Insects: Look for any small holes or damaged areas on the husk. These could be signs of insect infestation. A clean, undamaged husk is what you’re aiming for. Storing Sweet Corn Refrigerate Immediately: Corn starts to lose its sweetness as soon as it’s picked, so refrigerate it as soon as possible to preserve its flavor. According to the University of Illinois Extension, corn can lose up to 50% of its sugar within 24 hours if not refrigerated. Keep the Husks On: Store the corn with the husks still on. They act as a natural protective barrier and help retain moisture. Reader testimonial: “I’ve always kept the husks on my sweet corn before storing it, and it’s remained fresh and flavorful for several days.” Use a Plastic Bag: Place the ears of corn in a plastic bag to keep them from drying out. Make sure the bag is closed tightly. Freeze for Long-Term Storage:  If you can't use the corn within a few days, remove the…
